From Test to Campaign | CheapCaribbean.com
Challenge
Like many agencies, not every creative idea receives the budget to move forward. While one flagship campaign received the majority of the production investment, our team continued developing new concepts in-house, looking for opportunities to test ideas quickly and learn what resonated with travelers.
When the CheapCaribbean marketing team uncovered an audience insight: a significant portion of its customers worked in healthcare. Rather than waiting for another large production budget, we saw an opportunity to test a new creative direction using the people and resources we already had.
Contribution
Partnered with the social and content teams to develop and produce a series of low-cost digital campaigns built around the idea of Beach Cures. By combining audience insight with rapid in-house production, we were able to test messaging, measure engagement, and refine the creative platform through real-world feedback rather than assumption.
As the campaign demonstrated its potential, organizational confidence grew alongside audience engagement. What began as a modest digital initiative earned additional investment, expanded across channels, and ultimately became the foundation for a much larger integrated campaign.
Outcome
While the team and our client were pleased with the resulting work, what was most valuable was earning the confidence to keep building. By validating the concept through incremental testing, the team transformed a low-cost experiment into a strategic campaign platform that supported national advertising and broader brand investment.
This experience reinforced a principle I've returned to throughout my career: meaningful momentum isn't created by launching bigger ideas first. It's created by proving small ideas deserve to become bigger ones.
